What is Lift Gate Service?

When the item being shipped is considered freight or too heavy to be safely handled / lowered from the delivery truck by one person, we recommend adding lift gate service. This is usually performed by an attached electric and /or hydraulic piece of equipment to the back of the truck that is operated by the driver to lower the item in question to the ground.

The only situation in which we consider lift gate service is not needed is when the customer has the infrastructure to unload trucks at the address the product is being delivered. I.E. A ramp and forklift.
